What’s Available at Your Library
Making the choice to homeschool your child can be a difficult
one. Where do you turn for information and support?
The Laramie County Library has a large number of materials on
the topic of homeschooling, from selecting a curriculum to teaching
cursive handwriting. You don’t have to go it alone –
we’re here to help!
Curriculum Support
As an educator, you enjoy the ability to check out up to ten
titles on a single subject. To avoid depleting our collection,
please limit your selection to 3 titles from the same author or
10 books with the same call number.
We also have an array of useful resources such as Daycare Theme
Kits (designed for topic learning at an early-reader level) and
Young Adult Book Sets.
Assistance with Selection
If you are unable to visit us or would like assistance in selecting
materials, the Youth and Outreach Services staff can help. Please
call at least 48 hours before you intend to pick up your books.
Select Books and Other Materials Online
You can also place holds
at LCLSonline.org through our WYLD
Catalog. If you find an item you would like to place on hold,
click “Place Hold” and follow the instructions. You
will be notified when your holds are available.
Programs
Children ages 5-12 can join Home Pages, our award-winning book
club especially for homeschooling families. We also sponsor several
other book clubs, which homeschoolers are welcome to join. For
more details, check our Book Clubs
