There are numerous financial needs at the library, many of which cannot be covered by the public funds which provide only about 75% of the operating budget. Therefore, the Foundation tries to identify the greatest needs and make funding available whenever possible.
For example, a special request for materials pertaining to adoptive families and their specific issues were added to the collection from funds raised at a Foundation event.
Proceeds from a Foundation event and a corporate donor also helped to purchase a popcorn machine. Popcorn is a very popular addition to many of our programs, especially for the teens.
If you have identified something the library should provide, and are willing to help with the funding , please contact the Foundation office.
