The Special Collections Room houses the collection as well as Wyoming & Western History materials.
Located on the 3rd Floor of the Library County Library in Cheyenne, it is open to the public any time the library is open. Volunteers or staff members are often available to provide assistance.
If you are making a special trip to the Special Collections Room, we encourage you to call first (307-634-3561) to check on the availability of staff or volunteer assistance.
The genealogical materials housed at the library are a joint collection
of the Laramie County Library System and the Family History Center of
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Over the years, material
have been added to the collection through the efforts of these libraries,
the Wyoming State Library,
the Cheyenne Genealogical
and Historical Society. , the Wyoming Chapter of the Daughters of
the American Revolution and individual contributors.
