Welcome back to your library! Phase Two

Laramie County Library System has reopened with restrictions to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Major restrictions include the following:
  • Face coverings are required for any individual three years of age or older wishing to utilize a Laramie County Library System facility.
  • Visits to any Laramie County Library facility are limited to one visit per day for up to three hours per person/group.
  • Social distancing measures will be enforced. Furniture, computers, and help desks have all been updated or moved in order to maintain social distancing guidelines.
  • All library meeting rooms are closed for public use through December 31, 2020. 
  • My Library Place, the interactive Bookmobile, and the Early Literacy Center on the second floor are closed.
  • There are a limited number of computers available throughout all library facilities. Computer access is limited to three hours per day per person and reservations are highly recommended.
  • The library will not host any in-person events through December 31, 2020.
  • The Book Sale Room is closed and the library is not accepting book donations until further notice. There is a temporary book sale on the wall near the Book Sale Room with a limited number of books for sale.

Cheyenne Library & Curbside Hours:

Monday – Thursday: 10:00 am – 9:00 pm
Friday & Saturday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Sunday: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm


Burns Branch Library & Curbside Hours:

Monday: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Tuesday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
Friday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am– 12:00 pm
Sunday: Closed


Pine Bluffs Branch & Curbside Hours:

Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
Wednesday – Thursday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Friday: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Sunday: Closed


Bookmobile Hours and Locations*

Albin and Carpenter on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month, as well as other locations in Cheyenne. Refer to the Bookmobile Schedule for details.
Albin: 2pm-4pm
Carpenter: 2-4pm
*Please note the bookmobile will only be providing holds pick-up. Books cannot be checked out from the bookmobile at this time.


The Library Café*

Monday – Friday: 9am-2pm
*Please note that The Library Café will be providing a limited menu.

Restrictions for all Laramie County Library Facilities:

  • The library will not host any in-person events through December 31, 2020.

Note: Bathrooms and high-touch surfaces are being cleaned each night.

Gallery:

  • All furniture has been removed and individuals must utilize social distancing measures.
  • The Cottonwood and Willow Rooms are closed to the public.

The Library Café:

  • All seating has been removed.
  • A limited menu will be provided.
  • A one-way traffic pattern will be enforced.

1st Floor:

  • Plexiglas dividers have been installed at all public service desks
  • Stickers have been placed on the floor indicating proper social distances. All users must adhere to the stickers and maintain guidelines.
  • Some book displays have been removed to limit the number of high-touch items.
  • Seating and furniture has been rearranged or removed in order to maintain safe social distances. Furniture may not be moved or rearranged in order to gather in groups.
  • The Commons is closed to the public.
  • The Book Sale Room is closed and the library is not accepting book donations until further notice. There is a temporary book sale on the wall near the Book Sale Room with a limited number of books for sale.

2nd floor:

  • My Library Place, the interactive bookmobile, and Early Literacy Center are closed to the public.
  • Stickers have been placed on the floor indicating proper social distances. All users must adhere to the stickers and maintain guidelines.
  • Seating and furniture has been rearranged or removed in order to maintain safe social distances. Furniture may not be moved or rearranged in order to gather in groups.
  • The Sage Room is closed to the public.
  • Study Rooms are limited to two people per room, with the exception of parents/caregivers accompanying children. All study rooms may only be used for one hour per day per group.
  • Computers in the teen area and homework area are limited and spaced for social distancing. Computers may only be used for three hours per day per person.
  • The chess, checkers, and other interactive items have been removed to limit the number of high-touch items.

3rd floor:

  • Seating and furniture have been rearranged or removed in order to maintain safe social distances. Furniture may not be moved or rearranged in order to gather in groups.
  • Stickers have been placed on the floor indicating proper social distances. All users must adhere to the stickers and maintain guidelines.
  • Seating has been removed from Special Collections, and the computers have been spaced to maintain social distancing guidelines.
  • Assistance is not available from genealogy volunteers until further notice.
  • Seating has been spaced to maintain social distancing guidelines in the Capital Room.
  • The Sunflower room and Windflower room are closed to the public.
  • Study Rooms limited to two people per room, with the exception of parents/caregivers accompanying children. All study rooms may only be used for one hour per day per group.
  • Computers in the Computer Center are limited and spaced for social distancing. Computers may only be used for three hours per day per person. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made here: https://lclsonline.org/computer-reservations
  • The chess sets and puzzles have been removed to limit the number of high-touch items.

Burns Branch Library:

  • Seating and furniture has been rearranged or removed in order to maintain safe social distances. Furniture may not be moved or rearranged in order to gather in groups.
  • Stickers have been placed on the floor indicating proper social distances. All users must adhere to the stickers and maintain guidelines.
  • The meeting room is closed to the public.
  • Toys and other items have been removed from the children’s area in order to reduce the number of high-touch items.
  • Computers are limited and spaced for social distancing. Computers may only be used for three hours per day per person.

Pine Bluffs Branch Library:

  • Seating and furniture has been rearranged or removed in order to maintain safe social distances. Furniture may not be moved or rearranged in order to gather in groups.
  • Stickers have been placed on the floor indicating proper social distances. All users must adhere to the stickers and maintain guidelines.
  • Toys and other items have been removed from the children’s area in order to reduce the number of high-touch items.
  • Computers are limited and spaced for social distancing. Computers may only be used for three hours per day per person.

Bookmobile:

  • Books cannot be checked out on the bookmobile. The only available service will be hold pick-up.
