A letter from the Laramie County Library Foundation Board President
The Library Foundation holds a significant and personal meaning to me, shaped by my experiences and connection to the Laramie County Library. For me, a Library Foundation represents support and advocacy for the continued growth and accessibility of libraries. It symbolizes the promotion of literacy, education, and community enrichment.
Here are some of the reasons why I love the Library Foundation:
- Access to Knowledge: A Library Foundation often ensures that libraries remain a place where everyone, regardless of background or resources, can access books, learning materials, and digital resources.
- Community Support: The foundation fosters community engagement, providing programming, events, and services that bring people together and support lifelong learning.
- Cultural Preservation: Libraries preserve history, culture, and knowledge through their collections, and a Library Foundation can help safeguard these valuable assets for future generations.
- Educational Opportunities: The foundation helps fund initiatives that enhance educational programs for all ages, from early childhood learning to adult literacy and beyond.
- Empowerment and Equality: By promoting equal access to information and services, the foundation empowers individuals and communities and reduces barriers to education and opportunity.
We have an exciting year planned, with many opportunities to donate or participate and ensure the Laramie County Library will continue to be a part of our great community.

The Laramie County Library Foundation calls upon private support to enhance our Laramie County Library System’s leadership and innovation, helping the library address emerging community needs and trends. The Foundation’s vision is that every person enjoys a relationship with learning and libraries that lasts a lifetime.
Our vision is accomplished through fundraising, advocacy, and innovative programs.
Through this relationship, all people can have the tools for their quest for lifelong learning and adventure. The main goal of the Foundation is to raise funds for the System to support innovative programming and services, as well as the expansion of our award-winning collections. Without our generous donors, the System could not meet the expectations of library patrons.
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community-based organization. Please consult your tax advisor regarding donations and tax deductions.
