The Public Library Association emphasizes the 5 early literacy practices (Talk, Sing, Read, Write and Play) as keys to developing language and reading skills.  The ELC and My Library Place incorporate these activities in an interactive and fun environment.  Have fun and learn at the same time!

Ready4K Texting Service

Parents across Wyoming, can now sign up for a new, free texting service that delivers fun facts and easy tips to their phones. Called Ready4K, the texting service shows parents how to boost children’s learning and get them ready for kindergarten.

Homeschool Resources

The Laramie County Library has a large number of materials on the topic of homeschooling, from selecting a curriculum to teaching cursive handwriting. We even have special topic bags that you can check out – complete with finger puppets, craft project ideas, books related to the topic, and much more.  You don’t have to go it alone – we’re here to help!

Teens & Tweens

There’s a place for the big kids on the 2nd floor. Tweens & Teens have their own locations, with various seating, technologies and materials. We also have age-appropriate programming for grades 3 – 12.

Touch Tone Tales

Wild and wacky original stories from Charlie Williams, “The Noiseguy!” Call 307-638-2552 any time of day or night to hear a funny story. Stories changes weekly and are especially enjoyable for children ages 4 and older.
