Book Sale Room
We love your book donations, and we put them to good use.
The Book Sale Room is entirely run by dedicated library volunteers, and every dollar earned goes directly back into library programs and services. Thank you for helping us share the joy of reading with our community.
How Donations Are Used
When donations arrive, our volunteers carefully sort each item to ensure it meets quality and condition standards. Select materials may be added to the library’s collection, while others are sold in the Book Sale Room to support library programs. Items not sold locally are sent to ThriftBooks, where they are offered online and a portion of the proceeds comes back to benefit the library.
Hours of Operation
Monday–Thursday: 9:00 am – 7:30 pm
Friday–Sunday: 10:00 am – 4:30 pm
How to Donate
You may bring up to two boxes of books per day to the Book Sale Room during library hours. For larger donations, please schedule an appointment, and volunteers will be happy to assist with unloading.

Before bringing your donation, please review the lists below to ensure your materials meet our acceptance guidelines.
Items We Accept
We welcome most gently used or new materials, including:
- Adult fiction and nonfiction books
- Hardback and paperback books
- Coffee table books
- Cookbooks
- Children’s books
- DVDs, Blu-ray movies, and TV series
- Video games
- Magazines and puzzles (in small quantities)
Items We Cannot Accept
We are unable to accept:
- Torn, damaged, dirty, or musty items
- Encyclopedias or Reader’s Digest condensed books
- National Geographic magazine collections
- Textbooks more than 10 years old
- Law and medical books
- Travel and computer books more than 3 years old
- VHS tapes, CDs, cassettes, LP records, or audiobooks on tape
- Religious or self-help DVDs
- Harlequin Romance novels
- Government publications or outdated tax manuals
- Excess quantities of magazines, newspapers, or paperbacks
Book Sale Room Prices
- Movies, music, audiobooks, and video games: $1 each
- Video sets: $5 each
- Hardback books: $2 each
- Softcover books: $1 each
- Children’s books and paperbacks: $0.50 each or 3 for $1
- Book sets (up to 5 books): $5 per set
- Book sets (6 or more books): $10 per set
- Autographed books or single old books: $3 each
- Computers: priced as marked
- Magazines, puzzles, VHS tapes, and cassettes: free
