What You Can Do in the Teen Zone
The Teen Zone offers a mix of gaming, creative technology, and flexible space for collaboration.
Gaming
Gaming is an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and build problem-solving and communication skills in a safe, supervised environment. We have the Playstation 5, XBox Series X, and Nintendo Switch consoles available for use!
Makerspace
The Teen Zone makerspace supports hands-on learning, creativity, and experimentation.
GlowForge
A GlowForge is a creativity machine. It uses a laser to cut and engrave designs into materials like wood, acrylic, leather, and more. You can create keychains, signs, art pieces, jewelry, game accessories, school projects, and custom gifts. It’s a way to design something digitally and watch it come to life.
Prusa Core One+ 3D Printer
This high-quality 3D printer turns digital models into physical objects. You can design and print prototypes, replacement parts, figurines, tools, or creative projects. It’s a hands-on introduction to engineering, design, and problem-solving—and it’s fun to see your idea take shape.
Sewing Machines & Body Form
If you’re interested in sewing, fixing clothes, or trying fashion design, you can use sewing machines and a customizable body form. Learn basic sewing skills, repair clothes, or create something new.
Wacom Movink Pad Pro 14 Digital Art Tablet
A portable digital art studio where you can draw, design, and animate right on the screen with a natural pen-on-screen feel. Great for illustration, comics, animation, and graphic design.
These tools help you try new ideas, build confidence, and develop real skills.
Makerspace Certifications
A certification is required to use each piece of advanced makerspace equipment.
Certification classes are offered twice each month and teach safe equipment use, creative techniques, and responsible tool care. Once certified, you can reserve time to use equipment and keep building your skills.
