Getting Started with Libby: In-Person Help for Digital Reading

Curious about borrowing eBooks and audiobooks from the library, but not sure where to begin? Join us for Getting Started with Libby, a beginner-friendly, in-person class taking place on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. in the Willow Room. This hands-on session is designed to help you confidently start your digital reading journey.
Libby is the library’s free app for borrowing eBooks and audiobooks right from your phone, tablet, or other device. During this class, library staff will begin with a brief introduction to the Libby app. What it is, what you can borrow, and how it works, before moving into one-on-one support tailored to your device and experience level.
Whether you’re brand new to Libby or have tried it once or twice and felt stuck, this session offers plenty of time for individualized help. Attendees will learn how to download and set up the Libby app, borrow and download eBooks and audiobooks, manage loans, renewals, and holds, and navigate the app with confidence.
Please bring your own device, such as a smartphone, tablet, or e-reader, along with your library card if you have one. If you don’t currently have a library card, staff can help you get started during the class. By the end of this class, you’ll be ready to enjoy the library’s digital collection anytime, anywhere.
No prior experience is required, just a willingness to learn and explore all the digital resources your library has to offer.
