Introducing Page Turners

Looking for something your child can look forward to after school? Our brand-new tween book club is designed to do just that—spark interest, build connections, and make reading something they genuinely look forward to.
Page Turners is a new book club designed especially for tweens. Each month, participants will come together with a group of peers to read and discuss the same book. Through guided conversations, they’ll build critical thinking skills, explore new perspectives, and let their curiosity grow.
At every meeting, tweens will enjoy snacks inspired by the book they’re reading, bringing stories to life in a fun, memorable way. Along the way, they’ll explore a variety of books and build friendships with other who share a love of reading.
READ IT. Talk about it. Snack on it.
Join us for our kickoff meeting on Monday, April 13, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. This first session will give everyone a chance to get to know one another, share ideas for future reads, and enjoy snacks. We’ll also hand out our first book, The War That Saved My Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley.
“Nine-year-old Ada has never left her one-room apartment. Her mother is too humiliated by Ada’s twisted foot to let her outside. So when her little brother Jamie is shipped out of London to escape the war, Ada doesn’t waste a minute–she sneaks out to join him. So begins a new adventure of Ada, and for Susan Smith, the woman who is forced to take the two kids in. As Ada teaches herself to ride a pony, learns to read, and watches for German spies, she begins to trust Susan–and Susan begins to love Ada and Jamie. But in the end, will their bond be enough to hold them together through wartime? Or will Ada and her brother fall back into the cruel hands of their mother?”–Publisher’s description.
Registration opens March 30. We hope your tween will join us as we step away from screens, dive into great books, and connect in a meaningful way.
