  • Build volume: 8″ x 8″ x 8″
  • Detail options: high, medium, or low
  • Available colors: clear, black, white, gray, red, blue, purple, green, and yellow
  • SuperPINDA probe to ensure first layer is accurate to design
  • Automated object distribution

  • All print jobs are managed by trained library staff.

How to Print

  • Complete the 3D Printing Request Form. Each file requires its own form.
  • Submit files in .obj, .stl, or .3mf format.
  • Choose filament color and print detail on the form.
  • Library staff will review your request and contact you when your item is ready for pickup.
  • Pick up your completed print within 14 days of notification.
Users will not be permitted to use the library’s 3D printer to create any material that is: 
  • Prohibited by local, state or federal law
  • Unsafe, harmful, dangerous, or an immediate threat to the well-being of others
  • Constructed as having the intent to harm
  • Obscene or otherwise inappropriate for the library environment
  • A gun, gun part, weapon, or a salacious object
  • In violation of another’s intellectual property rights

The library reserves the right to refuse any 3D print requestThe library is not responsible for any damage, loss, or security data arising from the use of its computers, equipment or network, nor the functionality or quality of content produced on the 3D printer

  • The library’s printers can produce fine detail and a range of finishes. 
  • Typical examples (using the 3D Benchy test): 
  • Low detail: 12 g – $1.20
  • Medium detail: 12 g – $1.20
  • High detail: 13 g – $1.30

Cost

  • $0.10 per gram, rounded up to the nearest gram
  • Price is the same whether you use library filament or your own (subject to approval)
  • Cash, check, or debit/credit card accepted (minimum card charge $1)
