May the Books Be with You: Star Wars Reads at Laramie County Library!

Calling all Star Wars fans of every age! Join us on Saturday, October 11, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm for an out-of-this-galaxy afternoon at the Laramie County Library! Whether you’re a lifelong Jedi, a budding Padawan, or just curious about the Force, there’s something for everyone at our Star Wars Reads event.
Get ready for an adventure through the galaxy as we celebrate reading in a way only Star Wars can inspire. Explore our Star Wars book and movie collections, dive into a scavenger hunt across the library, and join fellow Star Wars enthusiasts for epic activities, including:
- Make Your Own Lightsaber craft station
- Darth Vader Bowling
- Stormtrooper Nerf Battles
- Photo opportunities with the 501st Legion and maybe even a droid or two
- Green screen fun to transport yourself to a galaxy far, far away
Of course, no Star Wars adventure would be complete without snacks worthy of the galaxy: enjoy Teddy Grahms Ewoks, green and red Hawaiian punch (Yoda Soda and Vaderade), Death Star Donuts, Padawan Popcorn, and Hans-Rolos.
This event is perfect for all ages and is held across the Early Literacy Center, Sage Room, and 2nd Floor Non-Fiction Tables. Our goal? To get more people discovering the amazing books in our collection, because even a Jedi knows that the Force is strong with a good story.
So grab your lightsaber, put on your costume if you dare, and prepare for an afternoon of reading, fun, and galactic adventures. We can’t wait to see you there!
