Community Outreach
Outreach extends the library into the community by connecting families, educators, and learners with library resources and expertise. We offer storytimes at daycare sites, classroom visits, presentations for parent groups on early literacy, instruction in storytelling, and support for exploring library databases and materials. In partnership with trained professionals, Laramie County Library System also provides early childhood education workshops and continuing education classes for childcare providers, with participants earning Statewide Training and Resource System (STARS) and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit.

Homebound Services
For patrons who can’t easily visit a branch, Homebound Services delivers books and materials directly to their door. From private homes to care centers, we bring the library experience to you.

mobile library
Our traveling library brings books, audiobooks, and more to neighborhoods, schools, and community events across Laramie County. Formerly known as the Bookmobile, the Mobile Library helps everyone stay connected to library resources—wherever they are.

first steps program
A free early literacy home visiting program that helps families build strong early learning environments through stories, play, and connection. Each visit supports parents and caregivers in helping children get ready to read.
