A Deliciously Fun Way to Discover New Books!

Looking for a new favorite book? Our upcoming K–2 Book Tasting is the perfect chance for young readers to sample something new — and maybe even fall in love with a story they didn’t expect!

On Saturday, August 23 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., we’re turning the Early Literacy Center into the Story Stop Café, where children in grades K–2 can “taste test” a curated selection of books, enjoy snacks, and discover a new genre or series to get excited about.

This month’s theme is outdoor adventures, so expect stories that explore the wild, wander through forests, and go on big (and small!) explorations in nature. Whether your child already loves to read or is just getting started, this is a fun, low-pressure way to try something new — and meet other young book lovers!

We believe finding the right book at the right time can spark a lifelong love of reading, and events like this one are a great way to support that journey. Plus, it’s just plain fun.

Space is limited, so swing by the Early Literacy Center a few minutes early to grab your spot. We’ll take care of the books and snacks — all your young reader needs to bring is their curiosity!
