A New Way to Explore What’s Happening at Your Library
Laramie County Library System is refreshing how we share information about programs, events, and exhibits and making it easier to browse what’s happening now while preparing for something new coming later this year.
Beginning in January 2026, our traditional monthly print events calendar will transition to a simplified grid-style calendar. This new format provides a clear, easy-to-read overview of everything happening across LCLS locations, with space to highlight key programs and exhibits each month.
Why the change?
This update is an important step as we prepare to launch a quarterly LCLS magazine in July 2026. The magazine will offer a more robust print experience featuring upcoming events alongside articles, service highlights, and stories that reflect the depth and variety of what your library offers.
Moving to a grid-style calendar allows us to streamline production while building capacity for this new publication. It’s a way to ensure our print materials remain sustainable, accessible, and engaging—now and into the future.
What’s staying the same
- While the format is changing, the information you rely on is not.
- Every library event will continue to be listed in the print calendar grid.
- Major programs and exhibits will still be highlighted.
Our online events calendar remains the most complete and up-to-date source for program details, including descriptions, locations, times, and registration information.
Because print materials are created weeks in advance, we always recommend checking the online calendar for the most current information before attending an event.
Looking ahead
We’re excited about the opportunities a quarterly magazine will bring—from showcasing library services to sharing stories from across our community. While many details are still being developed, we look forward to sharing more in the coming months.
