Facilitating an Effective Strategic Planning Session
September 24–25, 2025 | 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This two-day, in-person workshop, presented by the American Management Association (AMA) and hosted by the Laramie County Library in partnership with the Laramie County Community Partnership and the Wyoming Nonprofit Network, is designed to equip nonprofit leaders with the tools, confidence, and structure needed to guide a strategic planning process from start to finish.

  • Pre-Workshop Learning: A guided activity to prepare participants with key vocabulary and facilitation insights
  • Two Full Workshop Days: Real-time planning exercises, tools for assessing organizational strengths and needs, and structured guidance on how to bridge planning to implementation
  • Debrief Session: A required follow-up to reflect, share lessons learned, and help shape future training opportunities

This workshop is ideal for leadership teams from small to medium-sized nonprofits who are ready to take ownership of their organization’s future. In addition to full participation, attendees will be asked to sign a commitment letter, which includes attending a debrief session to provide feedback and discuss implementation efforts.
