From borrowing and renewing to curbside convenience, Laramie County Library System makes it easy to access everything the library offers.
Get a library card
Your all-access pass to discovery
Your library card is free and opens the door to learning, creativity, and connection. With your card, you can:
- Borrow books, movies, and unique lending items such as Wi-Fi hotspots and radon monitors
- Access eBooks, audiobooks, and digital magazines through Libby
who can get a card
Anyone who lives in Laramie County is eligible for a free Laramie County Library System card. Your card works at all LCLS locations and most libraries throughout Wyoming.
- Bring one photo ID and proof of current address within Laramie County.
- If your ID already shows your current address, or if you have a military ID, that’s all you need.
- If not, you can provide a recent document such as a utility bill, lease agreement, pay stub, or similar proof of address.

Apply for a card
You can apply for your library card online or visit any LCLS location to sign up in person.
lOST YOUR CARD?
If your card is lost or stolen, contact your local branch to cancel it. Replacement cards require photo ID and parents or legal guardians must be present to replace a minor’s card.
Holds
Reserve what you want, when you want
Place a hold
If an item is checked out, placing a hold puts you on the wait list. You can do this online through the library catalog or by asking at any service desk. You’ll receive a notice when your hold is ready to pick up.

You can collect your holds inside the library from the hold shelves, or you can use curbside pick-up for contactless service. Details for each location are listed below.

digital holds
Simply click “Place Hold in Libby” or “Check Out in Libby” to manage your eBooks and audiobooks. Your digital items will appear in your library account when you’re logged in.

Renewing can be done online or by phone.

Renew online
Visit the WYLDCat catalog and sign in with your library card number and PIN.
- Select “Checked Out Titles” to see your current items.
- Choose “Renew” next to each title or “Renew All” to extend everything at once.
Most items can be renewed twice unless another patron has placed a hold, the item is an interlibrary loan, or your account has a balance of $10 or more.

You can also renew by phone during normal hours. Have your library card number ready when you call.

curbside pick-up
Fast, convenient, and contact-free
Curbside Pick-Up is available during regular library hours at all LCLS locations. You can use this service to collect holds and other library items quickly and safely.

- Drive to your library and park in a curbside space.
- Call the phone number listed for your branch and have your library card ready.
- Library staff will bring your items to your vehicle or nearby pickup spot.
- Please remain in your vehicle while staff are present. If you arrive on

- Bookmobile: Holds and returns are accepted during scheduled stops.
