Library Lending Machine FAQs
Where is it located?
Laramie County Senior Activity Center, 4100 E. Pershing Blvd., Cheyenne
Do I have to be a senior to use the machine?
No. Anyone may use the lending machine when the Senior Activity Center is open.
When can I use it?
During the Senior Activity Center’s regular public hours, which are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Can I place or pick up holds there?
No. The machine contains a rotating collection of popular library materials. You simply browse what’s currently available and check out what you’d like.
Can I search the catalog for items available in the lending machine?
Yes. In the library catalog, you can view the items available in the lending machine and can go to the Senior Activity Center to check out the desired material.
The items in the machine are popular, and I want to pick up an item at another library. Can I place a hold on the items in the lending machine?
No. These titles are available for browsing and discovery by people who visit this location. They can’t be placed on hold or transferred to another location.
How do I check out materials?
Scan your library card. After the Lending Machine unlocks, remove the items that interest you, and close the door. The materials are now checked out to you.
Can I return library materials to the lending machine?
No. Library materials left in the lending machine will not be checked in. Items can be returned to any Laramie County Library location including the mobile library. A library materials return will soon be available outside the front (south) entrance of the Laramie County Senior Activity Center.
Can I return items I check out at the library lending machine to any library location?
Yes.
