The Pulitzer Prizes Are Coming to Your Library
Laramie County Library System is one of just 20 public libraries nationwide selected to host Pulitzer on the Road: Prize-Winning Works That Inform, Empower & Inspire. Coming to Cheyenne in March 2028, the exhibition will make its only Wyoming stop right here at your library.
Chosen through a highly competitive application process, LCLS will bring this national exhibition to our community, free of charge. Produced by The Pulitzer Prizes in partnership with the American Library Association, it celebrates stories and creative works that have changed what we know, how we think, and the questions we ask.
A photograph that brings a distant event into focus. Reporting that holds powerful people accountable. A novel that helps you see the world through someone else’s eyes. This exhibition offers a chance to explore some of the nation’s most celebrated examples and discover what makes them so powerful.

The Pulitzer Prizes recognize excellence in journalism, books, drama, and music. This exhibition brings those forms of storytelling together, exploring how they help us understand history, public life, and one another.
Across 1,400 square feet, visitors will encounter photography, reporting, literature, and music through displays that include interactive experiences, video, and audio. You might recognize names such as Toni Morrison, Robert Frost, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Bob Dylan, or discover work that is entirely new to you.
The exhibition explores both widely known events, including Watergate, and the difference local journalism can make in a community. It also invites visitors to think about the stories they have to tell and how their own experiences could inform or inspire others.
The exhibition is recommended for audiences high school age and older.
