A Galaxy of Family Fun Is Coming to the Library

Calling all Star Wars fans! We’re bringing a little bit of a galaxy far, far away to the library for an afternoon of crafts, games, costumes, characters, and plenty of family fun.

This year, we’re adding something new to the lineup: a costume contest at 3:00 p.m. Whether you have a house full of Star Wars fans, or a child who would be very excited to see a Stormtrooper at the library, there will be plenty to do.

Meet the Characters

The 501st Legion and Rebel Legions will be joining us for the afternoon, giving families the chance to meet some favorite Star Wars characters and take photos with them. You may even spot a droid or two while you’re here!

Join the Fun

Try your hand at Star Wars-themed crafts and games, including Pin the Saber on Vader, Darth Vader Bowling, and R2-D2 cornhole.
If you need a little downtime between activities, explore our Star Wars books and movies. You might find something to take home for your next family movie night or reading adventure.

Come in Costume

Jedi, Sith, droids, Wookiees, Stormtroopers, and characters from across the galaxy are welcome, so come cressed as a favorite or put your own spin in the Star Wars universe.

The costume contest begins at 3 p.m. in the Cottonwood Room, so be sure to stick around if you want to show off your costume.

So grab the family, put on your best Star Wars gear, and come spend the afternoon with us. Whether you come in costume, challenge Darth Vader to a round of bowling, or just stop by for a photo with a Stormtrooper, there’s plenty waiting for you.
