A New Chapter Begins: Introducing Off the Shelf

Every day, stories unfold across Laramie County Library System.

Stories of discovery. Stories of learning. Stories of creativity, connection, and community.

Soon, you’ll have a new way to explore them.

We are excited to introduce Off the Shelf, Laramie County Library System’s new quarterly magazine.

Whether you visit the library every week or haven’t stopped by in years, Off the Shelf is designed to help you discover something new. From emerging technologies and creative opportunities to community events, digital resources, and lifelong interests, today’s library offers more than many people realize. We hope this magazine helps readers explore new possibilities and reconnect with the library in meaningful ways.

The inaugural issue launches in early July and includes:

  • The impact of the Summer Reading Challenge
  • Community-driven planning for library facilities
  • Innovation and expanded access to library services
  • Reading recommendations from the LCLS team

Why Off the Shelf?

Books may come off the shelf, but so do ideas, conversations, discoveries, and opportunities. Off the Shelf is about exploring the stories behind the library and the impact those stories have throughout our community.

Our hope is that each issue helps you discover something new, whether it’s a program, service, resource, event, or story that inspires you to explore further.

Whether you’re looking for your next great read, curious about what’s happening at the library, or interested in the ways libraries support learning, creativity, and connection, Off the Shelf is for you.

The magazine will be available free of charge at all LCLS locations, select community distribution sites, and online through a digital edition. But the easiest way to make sure you never miss an issue is to subscribe.

The first issue is almost here.

Subscribe today and be among the first to receive Off the Shelf when it launches in early July.
