This engaging program invites you to explore a rewarding, accessible hobby while building a deeper connection to the natural world around you.
Join us on Saturday, May 2, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for an informative and engaging session, presented in partnership with the Cheyenne–High Plains Audubon Society. Wildlife biologists Grant Frost and Dennis Saville will introduce participants to local bird species, share practical tips for identification, and offer guidance to help you get started. Through expert insights from their field experience, Grant and Dennis will help you build skills and confidence in observing and appreciating the natural world around you.
This program is perfect for beginners, nature enthusiasts, and anyone interested in learning something new in a welcoming, educational setting.
About Grant Frost & Dennis Saville
Grant Frost is a Senior Wildlife Biologist with Wyoming Game and Fish, specializing in bird identification, behavior, and migration. He serves as Wyoming’s representative on the Pacific Flyway Council and is the Past President of Cheyenne-High Plains Audubon Society. Grant also serves as the Field Trip Chair and compiler of bird count results for the Chapter.
Dennis Saville is a retired Wildlife Biologist with the Department of the Interior. He has more than 30 years of experience in dealing with wildlife issues and organizations, and 25 years’ experience with local Audubon chapters. Dennis continues to be very active in wildlife and birding activities, and outdoor recreation.
