September is almost here, and we’re getting ready to celebrate one of our favorite things: your library card.
This year’s Library Card Sign-up Month comes with four new community-designed library cards, a special welcome gift, an exclusive sticker, and plenty of reasons to introduce someone new to the library.
And it all starts September 1.
A Library Card Hits All the Right Notes!
There’s no single way to use a library card.
Learn a new language. Listen to an audiobook on your commute. Get help polishing your résumé. Research your family history. Borrow something you didn’t know the library had. Find the information you need to try something new.
Your library card gives you free access to an incredible range of resources that can help you pursue your interests, build new skills, explore new ideas and connect with the world around you.
Whatever you want to learn, create, or discover, it starts with a library card.
And throughout September, we’ll be highlighting some of the resources and unexpected things your library card unlocks. Chances are, there’s something you haven’t discovered yet.
A Little Something to Welcome You
If you’ve been meaning to get a library card, September is a particularly good time to do it.
Everyone who signs up for a new library card during Library Card Sign-up Month will receive a free 16 oz. LCLS glass tumbler with a bamboo lid and reusable glass straw, while supplies last.
We’re celebrating existing cardholders, too. Anyone who signs up for a new card or gets one of this year’s new community-designed library cards will receive an exclusive Library Card Sign-up Month sticker, while supplies last.
The new card designs, welcome gift, and sticker will all be available beginning September 1.

You already know what having a library card makes possible. This September, help someone else discover it.
Think of someone who hasn’t been to the library in a while. Someone who just moved to Laramie County. A friend who keeps borrowing your Libby recommendations. A coworker who would love one of the resources you’ve discovered. A family member who hasn’t had a library card since they were a kid.
Bring them with you.
Help them get a card, show them something you love about the library, and introduce them to a few things they might not expect to find here.
