Hear from the Candidates for Laramie County Commissioner

The Wyoming Primary Election is approaching on Tuesday, August 18, and Laramie County Library System invites you to hear directly from the candidates seeking to serve as Laramie County Commissioners.

Join us for a County Commissioner Candidate Forum where candidates will share their experience, priorities, and vision for the future of Laramie County before responding to moderated questions in a shared public setting.

All registered candidates for Laramie County Commissioner were invited to participate. Candidates scheduled to attend include Troy Thompson, Gunnar Malm, Linda Heath, M. Lee Hasenauer, Julie Christen, Jess Ketcham, Cliff Spoonemore, and Josh Tuttle.

The forum will be moderated by Renny MacKay, President of the Wyoming Business Alliance, whose background includes leadership roles in state government, communications, and journalism.

Libraries have long served as community hubs where people build knowledge, explore ideas, access reliable information, and engage in civil dialog with their community. Hosting candidate forums is one way we support civic literacy by creating opportunities for residents to hear directly from those seeking public office and make informed decisions based on the information that matters most to them.

Whether you’ve already started learning about the candidates or are just beginning to prepare for the August 18 primary, we invite you to join us for this opportunity to hear directly from the people seeking to represent Laramie County.
