Learn How to Defend Your Home from Wildfires

Wyoming is facing a serious drought, and this winter has brought far less moisture than we need. The risk of wildfire continues to rise as conditions continue to dry. Even small sparks can quickly turn into dangerous situations, making fire prevention more important than ever.

Now is the time for our community to come together and act.

On Wednesday, May 13, from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., Cody Tully, Senior Resource Forester and Fuels Program Manager with the Wyoming State Forestry Division, will share strategies for reducing wildfire risk. You’ll learn how to create defensible space around your home by managing flammable plants and materials.

With conditions becoming increasingly dry, now is the time to be informed and prepared. We encourage you to attend and take part in helping keep our community safe.
