Meet the 2026 Library Card Art Contest Winners

The next Laramie County Library System library cards have been chosen.

Following hundreds of artwork submissions and an incredible response from community members during public voting, Laramie County Library System is proud to announce the winners of the second annual Library Card Art Contest.

Congratulations to this year’s winning artists:

Ages 0–6: Leo, age 4  

Ages 7–10: Bridger, age 9

Ages 11–14: Ashley, age 13

Ages 15 and older: Breanna Troy

Each winning design reflects the creativity, interests, and perspectives that make our community unique. Beginning September 1, these community-created designs will become the newest official Laramie County Library System library cards.

A library card is often the beginning of something new. It opens the door to discovering a favorite author, learning a new skill, exploring a creative hobby, or finding trusted information. This September, as we celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month, these new designs will become part of those experiences for library users across Laramie County.

This year’s contest received hundreds of entries, and community members cast hundreds of votes to help select the winning designs. Thank you to every artist who shared their creativity and to everyone who took the time to participate in the voting process.

The celebration continues throughout September. Every piece of artwork submitted to this year’s contest will be on display on the first floor of the Cheyenne Library September 1 through September 30, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the creativity and talent shared by artists of all ages from across our community.

Whether you’re signing up for your first library card or replacing your current one, the new winning designs will be available beginning September 1. New and replacement library cards are available at no cost to Laramie County residents.
