Getting Started with Libby: Your Library, Your Way

Whether you prefer listening to a book on your morning walk, reading on your tablet in the evening, or switching between formats throughout the day, Libby makes it easy to enjoy the library in a way that fits your routine. Libby is the library’s free app for borrowing eBooks and audiobooks, giving you access to thousands of titles right from your phone, tablet, or eReader. It’s a simple, flexible way to discover new titles, explore different formats, and keep reading wherever you are.
If you’ve ever been curious about Libby but aren’t sure where to start, we’re here to help. Join us on Friday, May 15, from 10:30 to 11:45 am, in the Cottonwood Room for Getting Started with Libby, a beginner-friendly class designed to help you feel comfortable using the app and discovering everything it has to offer. With the Summer Reading Challenge just around the corner, it’s a great time to find new ways to build reading into your day.
We’ll begin with a short introduction to Libby, what it is, how it works, and what you can borrow, then move into hand-on support tailored to your device and experience level.
During the class, you’ll learn how to:
- Borrow and download eBooks and audiobooks
- Manage your loans and holds
- Navigate the app with confidence
You’ll also have time for one-on-one support so you can get set up and start reading right away.
Please bring your smartphone, tablet, along with your library card if you have one. If you don’t have a card yet, staff will be available to help you get started.
Whether you’re brand new to Libby or just need a little extra guidance, this class will help you make the most of your digital library, on your terms.
