Dark Victorian Tales

Step into our “parlor” for an evening of haunting, historical literary entertainment presented by the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys. From 5:00–5:30 p.m., you are invited to peruse a display of items drawn from the museum’s collection before the show begins at 5:30 p.m. Enjoy dramatic readings of dark Victorian poems and short stories mixed with folk tales, vintage magic tricks, and more. Expect to hear works by artists both famous (such as Edgar Allan Poe, E. Nesbit, and Emily Dickinson) and less well-known. Costumes encouraged but not required.
