Craig Johnson and Longmire Star A Martinez Coming to Laramie County Library

What do a missing baby Jesus, a dog that mysteriously escapes its shelter, and a 150-year-old sourdough starter have in common? They’re all part of Sheriff Walt Longmire’s latest adventures.

Join Laramie County Library System on Tuesday, November 17, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. for a special evening with bestselling Wyoming author Craig Johnson and actor A Martinez as they celebrate the release of Have Courage: Longmire Stories.

Johnson, the New York Times bestselling author behind the popular Longmire mystery series and the television show it inspired, has become one of Wyoming’s most celebrated storytellers. A resident of Ucross, Wyoming, Johnson is known for bringing the people, landscapes, and spirit of the American West to life through his writing.

His newest book, Have Courage: Longmire Stories, brings readers back to fictional Absaroka County with 15 holiday-inspired stories. From unusual mysteries to unexpected small-town challenges, the collection delivers the humor, heart, and memorable characters that Longmire fans have come to love.

Joining Johnson for this special event is actor A Martinez, who portrayed Jacob Nighthorse in the television series Longmire and wrote the foreword for Have Courage. Together, they’ll bring a unique perspective to the stories and characters that have captured the imaginations of readers and television audiences alike.

The evening will feature readings from the new book, an audience question-and-answer session, and an opportunity to have books signed. Barnes & Noble will have books available for purchase in the Willow Room.

Whether you’ve followed Walt Longmire’s adventures for years or are just discovering the series, this is a chance to hear from the people who helped bring his world to life.
