Seniors and veterans are invited to enjoy refreshments and free activities. On February 10, put your creativity to the test with a “bad art” contest. The goal here is to create the worst looking piece of art with the supplies provided. Judging will take place the same week and the winner announced on February 24. Also on February 24, there will be a matinee showing of Race (rated PG-13). This drama based on true events focuses on legendary Black athlete Jesse Owens (Stephan James) and his inspiring journey to overcome racism at home and abroad, culminating in his triumphant track-and-field performance at the 1936 Berlin Olympics under the tutelage of gruff Ohio State coach Larry Snyder (Jason Sudeikis).
