Early Literacy Classes

We are continually adapting our services due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and while we cannot currently host any in-person Early Literacy Classes or youth events, we still want to help bring these important services to our community. Our virtual Early Literacy Classes and take-home craft packets can help bring the learning, exploration, and fun you’ve come to know and love at the library right into your home!

Each week, we will offer three chances to participate in an Early Literacy Class! A virtual live class on Tuesday at 10:00am, a virtual live class on Thursday at 10:00am, and a pre-recorded session posted on this page every Monday at 10:00am that you can watch at your convenience any time throughout the week. All virtual live classes require advanced RSVP through our events calendar. Just choose whichever session or format suits you and your family best!

Laramie County Library System is offering craft packets to accompany each week’s set of Early Literacy Classes.

Each packet will include everything needed to complete the week’s craft, excluding basic supplies such as scissors, glue, tape, and crayons; if you are in need of these crafting supplies, please tell staff at the library’s 2nd floor Ask Here desk.

To pick up your weekly craft packet, head to the 2nd floor Ask Here Desk, or pick it up utilizing our curbside pick-up service. This service is free and does not require a library card for use.

Temporary Book Sale

While our Book Sale Room is currently closed, we do have a temporary book sale set up on the 1st floor near the Book Sale Room. We have a small selection that includes many children’s books.
