Personal Identification Number (PIN)

About Your PIN

Your PIN (personal identification number) is automatically entered as READ when you receive your library card. PINs become active the day you receive your library card. You may change your PIN at any time via WYLDCat, or through a staff member at the Cards and Accounts Desk. Below are instructions for changing your PIN and also how to request your PIN.

To Change Your PIN via WYLDCat

We strongly encourage you to change your PIN to a four-digit number as soon as possible. To change it through WYLDCat, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Forgot your PIN?

2. Click My Account in the top menu on the page.

3. Enter your library card number (no letters or spaces) and your current PIN. The default PIN is “read” . (Note that if you received a card prior to 9/9/19, your default PIN may be “WYLD”.)

4. Click the Change PIN tab, enter your current PIN, then select a new PIN, re-enter the new PIN, the click the Update button.

To Request Your PIN

If you have previously changed your PIN and cannot remember it, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Forgot your PIN?

2. Type in your library card number (just the numbers; no letters or spaces) and click Submit.

3. Our system will send an email with your PIN to the email address in your library account. If you do not know if your email address is current, please contact us at 307.634.3561.
