Check out the Mitchell’s and Chilton’s reference area on the third floor for schematics and instructions dating back to 1935. You can make a copy of wiring diagrams, tune-ups suggestions, transmission replacement or alternator repair for both foreign and domestic cars and trucks. Ask the reference staff to point you in the right direction.
If you happen to have an internet connection at home, use your library card to access Chilton’s online for FREE! From the library website, www.laramiecountylibrary.org, choose ‘Services’ then ‘Articles & Databases’ and finally ‘Chilton Library.’ You can enter in the year, make and model of your vehicle and have instant access to Repair, Labor Estimations, Bulletins/Recalls and Maintenance all provided by the Chilton experts. Step-by-step instructions can easily be printed and most have close-up diagrams or videos.
