Band of Brothers: Why We Fight Screening

Visit the Burns Branch Library for a showing of the 2001 Band of Brothers episode, “Why We Fight” (rated TV-MA). The episode details a United States Army unit’s liberation of a concentration camp, and explore the soldier’s horror at realizing the Nazis were more evil and horrifying than they could have imagined. Afterwards, we will consider the episode and what it illustrates about American’s understanding and knowledge of the Holocaust during WWII.
