Book club will meet twice during the month of October. We will chat about the book, do some crazy activities, and enjoy a delicious treat! Participants can bring a “brown bag” meal and drinks will be provided. We will be reading Book Scavenger by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman (who will be visiting Laramie County Library in November to lead a Young Writers Workshop! Stay tuned for upcoming details).
Participants in grades 4–6 can pick up their book from the 2nd floor Ask Here desk after signing up below.
*Please note: you must sign up for the second session on October 27th separately.
Quick book description: Twelve-year-old Emily’s family is relocating to San Francisco, home of Garrison Griswold, creator of the online sensation Book Scavenger, a game where books are hidden all over the country and clues to find them are revealed through puzzles. But Emily soon learns that Griswold has been attacked and is in a coma. Then Emily and her friend James discover a book, which they believe is from Griswold and leads to a valuable prize. But there are others on the hunt for this book, and Emily and James must race to solve the puzzles before Griswold’s attackers make them their next target.
