Día de los Muertos Community Celebrations

Día de los Muertos is not Halloween! Día de los Muertos is a sacred holiday traditionally celebrated on November 1 & 2 across Latin America and beyond. Join us for joyful and colorful opportunities to celebrate throughout the community!
At the library, we will have folkloric dancers performing at 12:15 and 1:30, a tissue paper flower craft and Lotería. While you’re here, check out ofrendas from staff members and our Día de los Muertos themed StoryWalk®. Doña Mari’s food truck will be in the parking lot as well as a special Día de los Muertos themed art exhibit in the Art Haus. This is a community event and free trolleys will be running from 10am-3pm. Check out the Día de los Muertos events at the Wyoming State Museum (10am – 2pm), and Cheyenne Botanic Gardens (10am – 5pm).
El Día de los Muertos no es Halloween. Es una festividad sagrada que se celebra tradicionalmente el 1 y 2 de noviembre en toda América Latina y otros países. ¡Venga y celebre con nosotros en comunidad!
En la biblioteca, los grupos folclóricos bailarán a las 12:15 y 1:30pm. También, haremos flores de papel crepe. Descubre las ofrendas hechos por miembros de la comunidad y nuestro StoryWalk® título del mes: El Día de los Muertos por Bob Barner. En el estacionamiento estará el food truck de Doña Mari y la galería Art Haus.
