A seemingly disgruntled and bigoted widower forms an unlikely friendship with his neighbor, who is flirting with getting involved with a gang. War veteran Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) is drawn into the life and culture of his Hmong neighbors and learns to appreciate their differences as they come together to protect their neighborhood.
