Virtual Brown Bag Book Club will meet twice during the month of February. We will review the first half of the book on the 4th and the second half of the book on the 18th. Participants can pick up their book to check out on the 2nd floor of the library or by utilizing the library’s curbside pick-up service, along with a “brown bag” full of desserts, drinks, and an interactive activity! This month, we will be reading My Life as a Book by Janet Tashjian. RSVP for this event above and receive the Zoom link via email!
Quick book description: Summer’s finally here, and Derek Fallon is looking forward to pelting the UPS truck with water balloons, climbing onto the garage roof, and conducting silly investigations. But when his parents decide to send him to Learning Camp, Derek’s dreams of fun come to an end. Ever since he’s been labeled a “reluctant reader,” his mom has pushed him to read “real” books–something other than his beloved Calvin & Hobbes.
As Derek forges unexpected friendships and uncovers a family secret involving himself (in diapers! no less), he realizes that adventure and surprises are around the corner, complete with curve balls.
