Book and a Movie: The Hate U Give

It’s Black History Month and we want to celebrate and discuss award-winning book, The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. Since reading with friends is better, we’ll hold a session to discuss the book. Then, on February 8, we’ll watch the movie! Register for the book club and pick up your free copy of the book to keep on the 2nd floor of the Cheyenne library. Space is limited so sign up soon!
Quick Book Description: Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter grapples with police brutality, activism, and racism after she witnesses the murder of her unarmed best friend Khalil at the hands of police officer.
