Blog Post: Book Sale Room Brings in Big Bucks for LCLS

BSR2Last year, we raised more than $26,000 from donation sales in the Book Sale Room. That’s by selling don ated materials such as books, DVDs, CDs, record albums, books on CD, and more. Stuff that you don’t want made us money—which, in part, helps fund programs, special supplies, and many other things.

If you’re not familiar with the BSR, it’s located on the 1st floor, next to the copy room. We have lightly used items sold at a discounted price, and 100% of the proceeds are donated to the Laramie County Library Foundation.

You can support the Book Sale Room by being a customer, volunteer, donating items, spreading the word about this resource, or all the above. BSR1Book Sale Room volunteers are responsible for managing sales and answering questions.

We are always looking to expand our volunteer base at LCLS. Think you have an extra hour or two to help out? Head here to learn more about volunteering at LCLS: https://lclsonline.org/volunteer/.

Not interested in volunteering, but looking to get rid of some books that have been taking up too much space at home? Donating to the BSR is easy! You can bring your gently used items to the Laramie County Library anytime during business hours. If you have a large donation—like a truck full—we will schedule a drop-off time and help you unload. For a full list of items the Book Sale Room accepts, head here: https://lclsonline.org/services/book-sale-room/.

Questions? You’re welcome to call the library at any time and speak with Amber McDaniel, Volunteer Coordinator (who also coordinates the donations): 307.634.3561.
