Laramie County Library System was awarded the Public Library Association and Microsoft Corporation’s “Public WiFi Access Micro Grant.” The grant was created to provide libraries in rural localities with the needed hardware to expand WiFi access on or near library grounds. Laramie County Library System to Reinstate Normal Operating Hours
Beginning Tuesday, September 1, Laramie County Library System will reinstate its normal operating hours for the Cheyenne, Burns, and Pine Bluffs libraries. Welcoming New Board Member Stacia Berry to the Library
Laramie County Library System recently welcomed Stacia Berry to its Board of Directors. Stacia’s first term on the Board will last from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023. Board members for Laramie County Library System are appointed by the County Commissioners who are required by Wyoming State statutes to provide library services to their constituents. Individuals who are interested in serving on the Laramie County Library Board, must fill out an application and turn it into the Commissioner’s office at least two months in advance to an open position. Change in Service: Cloudlibrary to Replace RBDigital
Attention RBDigital Audiobook and Magazine users! RBDigital has been acquired by Overdrive and the RBDigital service will no longer be available to Wyoming library users starting September 16.
We have been working with the Wyoming State Library and Recorded Books on this. To continue providing you with downloadable audiobooks, all of our RBDigital licenses will be transferred to our Cloudlibrary service over the next couple of months.Read More

Funding for the Library Detention Pond Project
The initial meeting on diversifying the plantings in the library’s detention pond established the broad strokes for the project. The next step was to find monetary support. After several unsuccessful attempts to find a funding source, Catherine Wissner, the Laramie County Horticulturist through the University of Wyoming’s Extension Office, directed the project coordinators to the “Specialty Crop Block Grant Program”.Read More
